About the Role
We're looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Content Creator & Community Manager to help bring our content strategy to life across social platforms.
This part-time contract role is ideal for someone who understands how to create content that captures attention, drives engagement, and builds community. You'll partner closely with our Strategic Content Manager, who leads overall content strategy and planning, while taking ownership of content creation, publishing, testing, community engagement, and performance optimization.

What You’ll Do
Create, edit, and publish original content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
Produce engaging short-form video content designed to stop the scroll and drive action.
Transform content ideas, campaign themes, school stories, and industry insights into platform-specific social content.
Execute content calendars developed in partnership with the Strategic Content Manager.
Test content formats, messaging, hooks, CTAs, creative styles, and posting strategies to improve performance.
Monitor content performance and provide recommendations based on engagement and audience behavior.
Schedule, publish, and manage content through content manager platforms
Manage social comments, direct messages, and community engagement across all channels.
Identify opportunities to spark conversations, build relationships, and strengthen audience engagement.
Surface audience insights, questions, and trends that can inform future content and campaigns.
Stay on top of platform trends, emerging formats, and best practices.
Qualifications
Strong experience creating short-form video content for social platforms.
Proven understanding of hooks, storytelling, audience retention, and calls-to-action.
Experience managing social communities, comments, direct messages, and audience engagement.
Familiarity with social media analytics and performance optimization.
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Atlanta-based or willing to work in the Atlanta market preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience with social media creation, management, planning, and optimization platforms such as Adobe, Canva, Sprout Social, Riverside, CapCut, ManyChat, or similar tools.
Experience scheduling, monitoring, reporting, and optimizing content performance.
Experience collaborating with content strategists, creative teams, or marketing departments.
Working knowledge of paid social advertising across Meta, LinkedIn, or similar platforms is a plus
